Silver Tips Tea Room is located in the heart of historic Tarrytown, New York, in Westchester County, about 25 miles north of New York City.  We are just beyond the intersection of Broadway and Main Street.  Our green awning and large TEA ROOM sign on the window are easy to spot!

OUR HOURS

• Mondays through Saturdays:  11.30 am to 6 pm

• Sundays:  11.30 am to 4.30 pm

• We recommend you arrive an hour before closing to enjoy the full range of our menu items. 

• Please call ahead if you are a party more than 4 people.

• We may close early on weekdays during the summer. 
• Holiday closings will be posted on the site.  We are closed for the major holidays – New Years Day, Easter, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

 

 

PARTIES/MEETINGS/CATERING

• We are available for in-store parties and meetings from April to October, on Saturdays between 4 pm and 6 pm, subject to availability. 

• Sundays are not available for private parties.  

• Our Catering Menu is available for your at-home or office gatherings. 

• Please call us for Scheduling, Party Menus & Pricing.

PARKING/DRIVING/SIGHTSEEING

• Driving directions are provided below.  Street parking, metered lots and shopping mall lots are available near the Tea Room.    Parking is free all day on Sundays and after 6 p.m. on other days.

 

• Metro North Railroad is another easy way to reach Tarrytown.  Taxis are available at the station or a short walk up to Main Street/Broadway will get you to our Tea Room.  Come in and enjoy a cup of tea!

 

• The villages of Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow are situated on the east bank of the Hudson River, at the entrance to the Tappan Zee Bridge with easy access from all points in Westchester County, Connecticut, Rockland, New Jersey and Manhattan.

 

• Visitors are drawn to Tarrytown for its numerous, quaint antique shops on Main Street and the famous historic sites and National Historic Landmarks for which the area is renowned:

  • The Old Dutch Church which is part of the famous Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
  • Lyndhurst  - America's finest Gothic Revival Mansion and a grand estate.
  • Sunnyside – the charming home of Washington Irving, the renowned author.
  • Kykuit – the Rockefeller Estate and another historic site of the National Trust.
  • Phillipsburg Manor – a living history museum with guides in 18th century period costume conduct tours.
  • The Union Church of Pocantico Hills featuring stained glass windows by Henry Matisse and Marc Chagall.
  • Tarrytown Music Hall – one of the oldest standing theatres in Westchester where President Theodore Roosevelt spoke on the stage.

• Follow Merritt Parkway South towards NYC

• Merritt Parkway becomes Hutchinson River Parkway as you enter New York State

• Take Westchester Ave. exit, 26 (West)

• Continue on ramp and take I-287 (West) exit.

• Follow I-287 (West), take exit 1, bear right to Rte. 119 (West)

• Follow Rte. 119 (West) until very end.  Bear right onto Rte. 9 (North)
