We have a special sentiment for this month. Being schooled by Irish nuns and having my Mom's birthday fall on St. Patrick's Day will do that to you. Add to that our green awning and tablecloths and you get the picture. We're going to be very busy this month: March 7: The Westchester Community College Brazilian Club is coming for Afternoon Tea. We hope this will be the first of many WCC groups visiting Silver Tips. March 9: Some of our staff will attend Coffee Fest in Manhattan and sit in on a Tea Sommelier Apprentice class. March 11: The annual Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick's Day Parade. We will have Green Vegetables with Pesto as our soup of the day and Spinach Quiche as well as yummy kiwi fruit tarts. We offer the best seat in town to view the parade so don't miss it. Irish Breakfast on special all day of course. March 12: We've been asked to cater an event at the Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan's oldest house and George Washington's headquarters during the Revolutionary War. Our Tea Sandwiches will be served! March 17: This year it's on a weekend so we will be celebrating, after I call my Mom of course and wish her happy birthday. Leek & Cabbage Soup in honour of the day. March 29: Our first Evening Tea event which is filling up quickly, I hear. We're busy putting together the menu and think it will be a fun event which we plan to replicate with new selections several times a year. If all goes according to plan, the next one will be late April.
