New York Gift Show finds - 2010

The Show had just enough to make it interesting and we think we found some treasures.  We discovered several new tea cozy sources - always nice because our customers want to see new patterns.  Some are in beautiful Irish linen with clean lines and patterns.  One particular company is worth checking out - a slightly different kind of tea cozy (see picture) and made by Tibetans in California, perhaps Tibetan refugees.  Exactly our cup of tea.   We also found a line of the famous Polish pottery, some by long-established companies, one even shipping out of New York!  Also of interest, some smaller items suitable for gift baskets - scented candles, salves for the hand and new patterns of china from companies we already do business with.  We have all the catalogues and price sheets - now to sort through them and see what's in stock, what is priced right and delivery options.  Many of our customers have expressed interest in reasonably priced tea sets - we did find a few, some attractively boxed.  Our review meeting is set for August 31 - stay tuned.
