Our tea at Birch Coffee, Manhattan
Feb 20, 2013 | Written by Anupa Mueller
We were introduced to Birch Coffee by Coffee Labs around the corner. That was late 2009. So happy to report that in this short time, they have not only successfully opened their first store, they have recently expanded to their 2nd location and are poised for even greater success. Their first store is in the Gershwin Hotel, between 5th and Madison on 27th Street. Their second location which just opened is between 13th and 14th Street on 7th Avenue. In today's New York Times, they were featured in the Dining Section, Off the Menu, quoted below. We're proud to be their tea supplier and they carry some of our most popular selections - Five Peaks, Rooi Afrikana and Toasted Almond. If you check out their Facebook page and browse through their photos, you will see their newly designed Loose Leaf Tea Menu. Be sure to visit!
BIRCH COFFEE The original in the Flatiron district has a new outlet in the West Village, with another, much larger one to come in about a week on the Upper West Side. At the latter, the chef Jehangir Mehta will consult on devising American small plates to accompany beer served on draft and by the bottle: 56 Seventh Avenue (13th Street), 212-929-1444; 750 Columbus Avenue (97th Street), no phone yet; birchcoffee.com.
