Crispy Fruit

cri-000149[1]We went looking for two new items at the Fancy Food Show earlier this year - Crispy Fruits and Brownie Brittles.  These were publicized in advance in all the trade journals and we thought they would be a nice new addition.  The first lived up to all our expectations, the second did not.  Crispy Fruit seemed to have the right combination of a quick sweet indulgence that was also healthy.  Just the ticket!  One company had a price point that was too high with packet sizes that were too large but the other, Crispy Green, was tailor-made for us.  They were local, shipped in small quantities, had a wide range of flavors (Apple, Asian Pear, Banana, Cantaloupe) and we sampled all of them and selected three - Mango, Pineapple and Tangerine.  What is Crispy Fruit?  100% freeze-dried fruit and nothing else.  The fruit is the actual fruit so the tangerine consists of actual tangerine sections and the mango has real mango slices in each bag.  Each bag is less than an ounce in weight, has about one gram of fiber and contains fewer than 40 calories.  They have received a fairly wide amount of press - Women's Health, Oprah.com, Weight Watchers, Rachael Ray and others.   We devoured them in an instant at the office!  We think you will love these too.  Each bag is just $1.50.
