Mild, Unique Flavor

This tea is unlike most black teas I've had. The flavor is relatively mild. It has a bit of a sweet taste to me as well. It's not astringent at all.

Steeping Instructions

Use 1 tsp. leaf per 8 oz. cup.
Pour boiling water over leaves.
Steep 4-5 mins.
Milk may be added.

Tea Education

China Black Teas are underrated compared to the better known Assams and Darjeelings but they are widely produced. Keemuns typically have a compact leaf style, sometimes described as 'flinty'. Although most grades are not showy, these were the original English Breakfast tea. They have a hint of natural smokiness. Substantial enough to tolerate milk if that is your choice.
