Jasmine Chicken Soup!

We had an unseasonably chilly, rainy weekend here in New York, so it was a good time to warm up with some Chicken Soup. And with our Jasmine Tea Sale, we figured we'd share a delicious Jasmine Chicken Soup recipe we found online. We'll be sharing more Jasmine recipes throughout the month, so be sure to come back! Earl Grey Tea Cookies

Tea is so versatile.  Of course you can drink it.  But did you know you could bake with it?  Add some fine loose leaf tea into your favorite cake or bread recipe and it elevates it to a higher level of indulgence.

Old Friends & New At a Tea Meeting

Yesterday, I was privileged to speak at the Annual Mid-Atlantic Tea Business Association in Bel Air, MD.  It was hosted this year by Tea by Two, a charming Tea Room owned by two friends, Janet & Erin. After a career in the insurance industry, they decided to make a significant change in their life trajectory and entered the wonderful world of Tea. Their care and attention to detail is evident and their enthusiasm and warmth obvious.  The Tea Room carries plenty of loose leaf tea and all manner of teaware exhibited on charming, old-fashioned stands and furniture.

The morning started with registration accompanied by Tea and a light Breakfast, with a generous Swag Bag of tea goodies available to each attendant.  Their beautiful tea cups and arrangements added to the overall atmosphere.

Sticky Toffee Pudding - a Winner!

Just announced - the Specialty Food Association awarded Sticky Toffee Pudding with a 2017 Sofi Gold Award! And we're so proud to carry this at our Tea Room and have for several years.  We carry not only the Original Recipe (which won the award) but also Chocolate Molten Lava & English Lemon Pudding. The winner is described as "a scrumptious moist cake made with fresh dates, espresso and vanilla in a buttery toffee sauce" - yes, indeed!

I congratulated Tracy Claros, our friend, and the Founder of Sticky Toffee Pudding yesterday and she said, "This award was for our new smaller pudding that we sell in a twin pack - We are delighted".

Sticky Toffee Pudding is made by The Sticky Toffee Pudding Company out of Austin, Texas.  Be sure to stop by at Silver Tips Tea Room and ask for it.  It is...
