True story..

In the middle of a busy lunch hour today, our servers noticed a woman holding a sign approaching customers at their tables.  A bit startled, one of our servers went up to the woman to try to find out what was going on.  It turns out the woman had a sign that announced she was hungry and wanted help.  This being the season of giving, we offered her a cup of hot soup and told her about the local Food Pantry just a block away and then told her politely but firmly that she absolutely could not solicit our customers inside our Tea Room.  The woman said, No, she did not want soup.  What did she want then, asked our server.  She said, "Croissants"!  Needless to say, she was ushered out unceremoniously.  Sad but true.  So many in need and here's someone out to scam us.
