Here's a good Yunnan with some gold tips.  It could easily become your daily cup. A little more earthy than an Assam, takes well to milk, a robust cup.  Authentic Yunnan from the southwestern province of China of the same name, home to ancient forests of tea trees.  Certified Organic.

My every day tea.

This is without a doubt my favorite tea. I sometimes sample other teas but I always come back to this one. It is a wonderful tea to make kombucha with also. I believe if you start with the best tea you get the best kombucha. Everyone I have let sample it agrees. Better than any available on the market.

I Must Have Ordered The Wrong Tea..

I used to drink a black tea (Yunnan) when they had the tea shop in Tarrytown. It tasted really malty which i loved but this does not taste like that at all..

The one you are referring to is Dian Black. That is the premium Organic Yunnan with an abundance of gold tips, very rich and was a customer favorite at the Tea Room.

Steeping Instructions

Use 1 generous tsp. leaf per 8 oz. cup.
Pour boiling water over leaves.
Steep 4-5 mins.
Milk may be added.
