Indian spiced black tea with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla. The original blend. Real tea, actual spices! Steeps a nice rich cup, nothing watery here. Add milk & sugar and you're ready to go. Serve hot or iced - delicious either way.  Sometimes called "Masala Chai" which is the local terminology for this blend in India.  Masala = Spice.  Chai = Tea.  If you prefer Organic, click here.

My favorite chai

They know how to do chai right here! I have had some odd flavors from other vendors. Do follow the instructions--you'll be using more tea than you might believe. The flavor is rich and full. I don't like to run out of this one!

A Comforting Classic

A not-to-spicy chai that brews perfectly every time. I like to make it in a pot and add whole milk while it simmers, then a pinch of cinnamon. Wonderfully satisfying!

Your method sounds delicious!

Tea Education

Chai in the U.S. has come to mean Spiced Tea, or Masala Chai in India. Masala means spice. It is best enjoyed already combined with milk and sugar. The authentic way is to boil the water with the tea and spices and then strain through a sieve. We've added some convenience here and offered a blend of tea and spices expertly mixed so that all you have to do is steep in boiling water, then add the milk and sugar. There are countless blends of Chai using various spices such as cinnamon, cloves, black pepper or anise. Ours produces a rich, creamy cup. Just one word of caution - this is one tea where you can be heavy-handed with the leaf. Not using enough will result in a watery, less-than-pleasing cup.
