Preserving Eyesight with Hot Tea

Did you know that Hot Tea was good for your eyes?  Well, it is.  Researchers believe a daily cup can reduce the risk for glaucoma.  So, in addition to the already long list of benefits associated with tea that includes heart wellness and even cancer-fighting properties, add better vision.  You can read the entire article here, covered in The New York Times this week.

Preserving Eyesight with Hot Tea

There's just one point to remember.  Hot Tea includes your favorite Breakfast Teas and the well-known Assam or Darjeeling or even Earl Greys.  It can be your choice of China or Japan Greens, Formosa Oolongs or a soothing cup of White Tea.  What it does not include are Chamomile, Peppermint, Lemongrass or Hibiscus.  These and other herbs do not come from the Tea plant and so cannot bring you the many benefits associated with Tea.  They are often clumped together into the 'tea' category but should not be.  So go ahead, choose your favorite Tea and pour a cuppa.  Just make it hot.
